Do you have a story to tell?

We are looking for people who are willing to share their story of how they have dealt with alopecia in their lives. Carillion Press is publishing Why Butterflies Tickle My Head this year. Co-authors Jackie Schissler and Jennifer McCrary are a mother-daughter team dedicated to telling the stories of children with alopecia areata and their families. In addition to their own story of alopecia areata touching their lives through the life of Braxton McCrary, they are looking for real-life stories from other parents of children or grandchildren who suffer from this disease without a cure. If you have a story to tell you are encouraged to submit your story to Jackie or Jennifer.

Twenty-five stories will be selected by the authors for inclusion in, Why Butterflies Tickle My Head. If your story is selected you will be contacted by one of the authors prior to publication. and invited to participate in a special national media conference call. You may submit your stories to: Jackie Schissler, Westbury Station, Box 35752, Houston, TX 77235. Or, you can email your story to carillion@alopeciacare.com

Jackie said, "We are especially interested of stories from adult sufferers of alopecia areata who were afflicted as children." Their stories can offer encouragement to children who are going through difficult times right now. Each person who has this disease has a story to tell that can provide helpful insights to those who are just beginning their journey in life with alopecia areata."
